D1Tourist visits
D2Business visits
Per-entry stayUp to 60 days
Multiple entry is about repeated visits.

A multiple-entry visa still has a maximum stay for each arrival and does not provide continuous residence. Confirm the visa validity, entries and stay conditions shown for your chosen application.

D1 for tourism; D2 for business

Indonesian immigration classifies D1 as a multiple-entry tourist visit and D2 as a multiple-entry business visit. Official category information describes a stay of up to 60 days on each arrival. Choose the category that matches your actual purpose.

Documents to prepare

  • Passport valid for at least six months.
  • Recent colour passport-style photo.
  • Sponsor’s application letter and statement.
  • Three-month bank statement showing at least USD 2,000 (or equivalent) for living expenses.
  • CV and travel itinerary.
  • For a business visit, invitation or business correspondence explaining the purpose and relationship with the Indonesian party.

The exact checklist, sponsor conditions and validity options depend on D1 or D2 and must be confirmed in the official e-Visa portal.

Application steps

  1. Choose D1 for tourism or D2 for business and select the needed visa validity.
  2. Confirm eligibility, sponsor requirements and the current fee in the official portal.
  3. Prepare the passport, photo, financial evidence and route-specific supporting documents.
  4. Submit through the official e-Visa process and follow the issued validity and stay conditions.

For repeat travel, not long-term residence

Multiple-entry visitor visas are intended for separate visits. Do not treat repeated short stays as permission to live or work in Indonesia. If your plan is a longer-term stay, compare an appropriate limited-stay permit and obtain qualified advice about your activities.
