What is B1 e-VOA?

B1 is Indonesia’s Visa on Arrival route for eligible passport holders. You can apply electronically before travel as an e-VOA, or follow the available arrival process. Bali is part of Indonesia, so national immigration rules apply to entry in Bali too.

The official immigration source describes an initial stay of up to 30 days, with one extension that can bring the total stay to up to 60 days. Whether your stay can be extended depends on your permit and current immigration procedures.

Prepare these documents

  • Passport biodata page; the official page says the passport should be valid for at least six months.
  • A recent colour passport-style photograph.
  • A return or onward ticket, where required.
  • Any additional details requested by the official application system.

Prepare readable scans and enter your information exactly as shown in your passport. The government portal is the authoritative checklist for the live application.

Apply through the official channel

  1. Confirm that the passport you will travel on is currently eligible.
  2. Open the official Indonesia e-Visa portal and select the correct route.
  3. Complete the application and payment in the government system.
  4. Keep the approved visa and check the permitted stay and entry conditions before departure.

Use the same portal to check whether online extension is available for your issued e-VOA.

Important limits

A B1 stay is not permission to take paid work from a person or company in Indonesia. The visa’s validity period and permitted stay are different, so read both dates on your approval. An application or visa does not remove the immigration officer’s authority to decide admission at the border.
